I love when people share their stories of dealing with their mental illness. I was diagnosed with depression at 13 didn’t do anything about it for 10 years. All the time, I was a martyr, not really wanting to burden anyone with Official Sometimes cuddling with my dog is the only cure for a bad day shirt. I just let my feelings ebb and flow because in my experience, the bad ones would go away and I would be fine.

I really never knew what was wrong until I was diagnosed as being bipolar. Thank God for the medication. I no longer have those manic attacks and the severe depression. In fact most things don’t even bother me. I no longer have to have chairs against the door to keep out I’m not even sure.
