You should really look up the definition of We are never too old for Sesame Street characters Abbey Road signature shirt What it means is – someone raises an issue, here it was “Trump supporters and whataboutism”, and you railroad the conversation totally off topic with a different issue or the same issue applied to a different circumstance – here “what about liberals who can’t even do maths”, but other more common examples are “Trump did X” “…what about Obama”. In any event, that isn’t what James Lindsay was arguing about. Nor was it what liberals were arguing about. Nobody (it seems to me) was arguing that “2+2=4” just like if someone raises their middle three fingers and says to you “read between the lines,” you can tell they’re flipping you the bird. I have to believe you’re being intentionally disingenuous about this for ‘internet points’, I honestly struggle to believe that anyone can be so dense as to believe that Lindsay’s tweet, and the responses, are a mathematics debate. If you are that dense, please understand I’m not trying to insult you about that – it’s just hard to tell on the internet.

But those kinds of guys are few and far between. So yeah I’ve willingly put myself in the shoes of female gamers and I feel like it’s helped me understand the struggle a bit better than most guys, but I’ve considered myself a feminist for a long time and lurk in this sub quite a bit to try a familiarize myself with the common issues women deal with. I’ve seen a lot of the nasty shit y’all deal with from toxic male gamers first hand and it disgusts me. I’ve gotten the sexist remarks, graphically sexual comments, and rape threats. I feel like if more men play games like I do, they wouldn’t treat women with such disdain
