Around 11 AM, the NFL Kansas City Chiefs Hawaiian Shirt arrived. Several large, police officers approached us. They told us that they were going to shut down the operation as it was causing a huge traffic jam. I got a brainstorm, I asked the officer that appeared to be in charge if I could have a word with him (Note, I was in my hippie mode at this time). He agreed. I said, βThese trees are free to anyone.β He said, βSo whatβ I said βthere are free to anyone, including the police department. You could pick up as many of the trees as you want and take them down to Watts (a very poor part of town) and give them away. Think of the PR you could get out of that.β The lights went on in his head and he turn around and talked to the other officers. I do not know what he said, but in a very short time, there were a lot more officers, but they were now directing traffic. Soon a large truck from the police department pulled up and they starting filling the truck with tress. They were already sending in an advance unit to prepare for the Christmas tree give away.

I was hoping Delores wouldn’t become a NFL Kansas City Chiefs Hawaiian Shirt aggressive rooster, as my recently deceased βLanceβ had been, before passing on to “rooster heaven” with the assistance of a local coyote. The rooster I currently had, Gordon, was a sweet boy and was very happy to have Lance gone. Lance had been a fierce rooster who attacked literally every moving thing but the hens and me (displaying extreme good taste and discretion) and I was not prepared to live through as second several years of yet another “attack rooster”. Neither were the neighbor dogs. Nor were the neighbors, for that matter. I really didnβt think this would be a problem, as Delores was such a sweet rooster – showing no violence or aggression at all, and just wanted to sit on my shoulder (rather like a parrot) and look around. He’d snuggle against anyone’s neck or in anyone’s lap who would hold him and he adored being petted. Delores ran around digging for bugs in the lawn – but was just as happy sitting by the kitchen sink watching me trim vegetables or whatever. He made (as all my chickens did) a truce with the cats and was friends with the goats, horses and my other rooster, Gordon. They all slept together in the barn at night.
Judging from what I saw during Halloween and Thanksgiving, I would say the NFL Kansas City Chiefs Hawaiian Shirt, cozy and nesting look is in. Stuff that gives off that homespun look. Think late 1960βs all the way up to the 1970βs. I donβt know if you remember the Carter era but I think thatβs going to be during this season and the next. Inflation was high, gas prices went through the roof, hamburgers were so expensive, people werenβt used to prices being so high. So people stayed at home more, and I think thatβs what is going to happen. They will be baking and cooking more at home as opposed to going out and running a big tab. But you asked about the decorations, and I will try to answer your question. Homemade, homespun, cozy and homey. I think thatβs going to be the trend, this year. People don βt have the money for the glitz or all the bells and whistle this holiday season. No over the top, no putting on the dog, so to speak or no needless spending. If you can make it, thatβs great and there is a ton tutorials on Youtube to show you how.
