In the 13 days leading up to Christmas, 13 tricksy troll-like characters come out to play in Iceland. The Yule Lads (jólasveinarnir or jólasveinar in Icelandic) visit the children across the country over the 13 nights leading up to Christmas. For each night of Yuletide, children place their best shoes by the window and a different Yule Lad visits leaving gifts for nice girls and boys and rotting potatoes for the naughty ones. Clad in traditional Icelandic costume, these fellas are pretty mischievous, and their names hint at the type of trouble they like to cause: Stekkjastaur (Sheep-Cote Clod), Giljagaur (Gully Gawk), Stúfur (Stubby), Þvörusleikir (Spoon-Licker), Pottaskefill (Pot-Scraper), Askasleikir (Bowl-Licker), Hurðaskellir (Door-Slammer), Skyrgámur (Skyr-Gobbler), Bjúgnakrækir (Sausage-Swiper), Gluggagægir (Window-Peeper), Gáttaþefur (Doorway-Sniffer), Ketkrókur (Meat-Hook) and Kertasníkir (Candle-Stealer). Visit Iceland this Christmas and Let’s Go Brandon Shirt catch them all!

Mostly people do not want their kind to go to another faith worship place because they don’t want their kind to be interested in another belief system or persuaded by them. For me decorating a Christmas tree or exchanging gifts or whatever is a socializing activities with friends and colleagues. The truth is still a Let’s Go Brandon Shirt , it doesn’t matter Jesus said it or Buddhist said it or Atheist said it. If you find fun or knowledge, you shouldn’t limit yourself or forbidden yourselves from the religious traditions of friends, family or colleagues.
My parents took my schooling seriously, the learning to read and write, learning math. Lots of books around, a set of encyclopedias. We didn’t have a big library of literature at home (one thing I had to catch up with later) but did have a subscription to National Geographic and lots of National Geographic Society hardcover productions on exotic locales and on science. I always loved the beautiful mix of text, photograph, and info-graphic. All these media coming together to teach and inform. In the pages of Let’s Go Brandon Shirt magazine, I learned about science and gained my best window into big news stories of the day like AIDS, the Challenger disaster, Chernobyl, the fall of the Berlin Wall and Communism, and the Gulf War.
