There’s a Icons Bizarrap Red Shirt of tradition of going out for Chinese food on or around Christmas in the US. So far as I can tell, this largely originates from large cities and in particular from Jews living in New York. Consider the cultural landscape of the earlier part of the 20th century. Jews, of course, do not celebrate Christmas, so they’d be more likely than the Christian majority to go out to eat then, as opposed to their celebrating neighbors who are likely at home with family, roasting their own turkeys and such. And where do they go on Christmas? Well, most restaurants are going to be closed, because their predominantly Christian proprietors and employees are also at home. The major exception, then, was Chinese restaurants. The immigrants running those places were less likely than average to be Christian, so they had no cultural tradition of shutting down on or around December 25. So if you’re a Jewish New Yorker who wants to go out for dinner on Christmas, it’s Chinese food or nothing. This practice may have been popularized in particular by Calvin Trillin, the noted food columnist for the New York Times. He was himself Jewish and wrote a marvelous column about his wife wanting a “traditional holiday dinner.” What she was talking about was the idea, coming in from outside their cultural world, of turkey, mashed potatoes, and so on, but to Trillin, his traditional holiday dinner was going out for Chinese.

When shown that celebrating the birth of Jesus had actually become of greater interest to people than the Icons Bizarrap Red Shirt provided by his death; that the revelry of the holiday and the spirit in which many gifts were given did not honor God; that the magi whose gift-giving was being imitated were actually demon-inspired astrologers; that parents set an example for their children in lying by what they told them about Santa Claus; that “St. Nicholas” (Santa Claus) was admittedly another name for the Devil himself; and that such festivals were, as acknowledged by Cardinal Newman in his Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine, “the very instruments and appendages of demon-worship” the church had adopted—when made aware of these things, Jehovah’s Witnesses promptly and permanently stopped having any part in Christmas celebrations. Jehovah’s Witnesses have good times with their families and friends. But they do not participate in holidays and celebrations that are linked with pagan gods (as is true of such holidays as Easter, New Year’s Day, May Day, and Mother’s Day). (2 Cor. 6:14-17) Like the early Christians, they do not even celebrate birthdays. They also respectfully refrain from sharing in national holidays that memorialize political or military events and refrain from giving worshipful honor to national heroes. Why? Because Jehovah’s Witnesses are no part of the world.

I received my order yesterday. I do love the shirt. I did have some issues with receiving my order. First tracking number I was given showed my order was delivered to wrong address. It took a couple of days to get any response or help regarding this. But the issue was thankfully resolved and I did receive my order. I was worried that I wasn’t ever going to get it.
I am very happy with this Kakashi Christmas sweater. I had tried two other sellers but never received the sweater, but I did get my money back that I paid at the time. This site was my last attempt to try to get the sweater and boy am I happy when I got home on Tuesday with the other sweater with Kakashi on it. I order the Charlie Brown Halloween Hawaiian shirt on Oct 4. According to Limotees, the order was fulfilled on Oct 10. It arrived on Nov 4… a bit late for Halloween. Fortunately there will be a Halloween next year and so on. I like the shirt, but don’t expect it to show up for a while after you order
