It’s a Flamingo Hawaiian Shirts kidβs movie that adults can enjoy. The only bad language is done in a cutesy way, with unintelligible sounds, kind of like the adults always talked in Peanuts cartoons. Ralph gets his mouth washed out with soap for it. The only violence is a scene where Ralph, while being picked on by a bully, snaps and fights back. It isn’t overly violent, and it isn’t glorified fighting, it’s just a couple of kids fighting in the snow like kids do. Ralph is crying throughout, so it is not some kind of ‘Aha, the victim has turned the tables with violence!’ I think the only other scene of violence is where Ralph fantasizes that he defends the house from burglars in the backyard with a BB gun. The scene is in black and white and sped up like a funny silent movie, and the burglars wear comical, old timey burglar outfits – striped shirt and black masks, like the Hamburglar. I think Ralphie shoots them in the butt as they try to climb back over the fence to get away.

If you go straight from Flamingo Hawaiian Shirts just wear your work clothes so you donβt seem fussy. Otherwise, it depends on what you normally wear to work, and the venue. If you wear a suit and tie to work, but the party is at a casual bar or restaurant (a place where on a normal night people would wear jeans) then dress down and wear jeans and a sweater with clean sneakers or leather dress shoes. if you have a casual work place where you wear jeans or a work uniform and the party is at a nicer venue specifically for parties (like a banquet hall) or a nicer bar/restaurant then dress up and wear slacks, a sweater and dress shoes. If you are really really unsure, ask your colleagues what they are wearing. If everyone is unsure wear clean dark black jeans (these could look like dress pants in the dark) a sweater and dress shoes. This outfit would fit in anywhere. In NYC just wear all black and youβll look chic and appropriate.
I think that it depends per country. In my country we have a Flamingo Hawaiian Shirts of Saint Nicolas. His day on the ecclesiastical calendar is the 6th of December. But the Saintly Bishop arrives in our country around the 15th of November. That is also the moment that the High Streets get their decorating lights. Days are short it gets dark shortly after four oβclock. The decorations in the shops are focused on Saint Nicholas. Special sweets and presents for children. There are special children shows on television. When I was a child we were invited to come to the head office of my fatherβs employer, Unilever, for a special afternoon with a magician and of course a visit by the saint Nicholas himself, with his assistants Zwarte Piet. (Black Peter) At the end we were given a nice small present, chosen of course by our parents (but of course we did not know). After the 6th of December when Saint Nicholas had returned to Spain or Heaven, the shops turn on to Christmas decorations. Some times we see some imported Fathers Christmas but we do not have narratives about father Christmas.
