We moved in to a rural area and had a spot that filled with water that all kinds of birds would come. It was an ice storm and our lab Scout kept going and barking to the water and a hawk was frozen. When it had warmed up he let it loose- it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever had ever witnessed. My heart was full- and that hawk sat on our fence it felt as if it knew- and was grateful. Not quite to this extent but this happened to me with a bluetit, a very cold south tottenham day!
