The problem is that elephants in africa are roaming freely. Poachers can easily access elephants with little to no cost and make Elephants and sunflower you are my sunshine shirt by selling their tusks. So, how do we prevent the elephant population from declining. One answer would be to ban the sale/ownership of tusks worldwide. This would discourage poachers from hunting elephants. However, it would not solve the problem. When tusks are banned globally, it would only be a matter of time for the ivory market to turn into a black market. Now, we are back to the same problem.

My proposed solution would be to build a reservation for african wildlife that would be large enough to encompass the animals’ habitat. Then, there should be a law that bans any human interaction with these Elephants and sunflower you are my sunshine shirt in the reservation. Consequently, the ivory market and the sale/ownership of elephant tusks should be strictly banned and violators should be severely punished. Lastly, who will fund this wildlife reservation. Since this reservation is restricted to africa, I would leave this responsibility for that country.

Clearly, the reservation cannot span over countries in Elephants and sunflower you are my sunshine shirt because that would be highly difficult to implement. My idea of a reservation is like a zoo but large enough for the animals to simulate a feeling like they are living in the wild, not in captivity. Zoos are immoral and I would like to stay away from that idea as far as I can. But, at the same time, it’s the best choice we’ve got to save elephant population.
