Winning Look: Red Sox Introduce ‘Turbulence’ Shirt Amid Streak

It’s a good time to be a Boston Red Sox fan. The team is flying high—literally and figuratively—riding an MLB-best seven-game win streak, fresh off extending top rookie Roman Anthony, and now debuting a new rallying cry for the stretch run of the 2025 season: Turbulence.

The slogan took off after a bumpy team flight into Minnesota last week, which the Sox promptly answered with a victory the following day. Since then, the dugout has celebrated big moments by mimicking airplanes, arms outstretched in unison. The playful gesture quickly became a clubhouse staple—and now, it’s a brand.

Boston players are sporting new “Turbulence” T-shirts, complete with silhouettes flanking Wally the Green Monster, a design that perfectly captures the team’s high-flying swagger. Shortstop Trevor Story was among the first to debut the shirt, spotted pregame in the dugout.

For the Sox, it’s all part of embracing the moment. “Whatever works, right?” one player quipped as the streak rolled on.

Boston aims to keep the turbulence going tonight at Fenway Park, where newly acquired right-hander Dustin May takes the mound against Kansas City’s Michael Wacha. With first pitch set for 7:10 p.m. EST, the Sox are looking not just for a sweep—but to keep soaring.
