By Matt Galatzan | March 24, 2025
Spring has arrived in College Station, and with it comes the first glimpse of what Texas A&M football will look like in 2025. As the Aggies kick off spring camp under the spotlight of high expectations, the program has unveiled new jersey numbers for a mix of highly touted transfers, standout returners, and promising freshmen.
The updated roster, recently released via the official team website, features 13 new transfers and a significant portion of the Aggies’ 2025 recruiting class. With a new-look squad already taking shape, jersey numbers are more than just identifiers—they’re symbols of a fresh start, renewed confidence, and roles waiting to be earned.
Among the most notable updates are wide receiver transfers Mario Craver (No. 1), KC Concepcion (No. 7), and Jonah Wilson (No. 82), who are expected to bring explosiveness and versatility to the receiving corps. Veteran receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman, returning in No. 3, looks poised for a breakout campaign.
On the defensive side, familiar faces like Dezz Ricks (No. 2), Will Lee III (No. 4), and DJ Hicks (No. 5) retain their numbers, solidifying their roles as returning leaders. They’ll be joined by impactful newcomers such as defensive back Julian Humphrey (No. 6), transfer edge rusher Samuel M’Pemba (No. 92), and defensive lineman Dayon Hayes (No. 50).
Quarterback Jacob Zeno (No. 9), a transfer expected to compete for starting reps, headlines a reloaded QB room alongside freshmen Brady Hart (No. 13) and Eli Morcos (No. 14). Tight end Amari Niblack (No. 84) and Nebraska transfer Nate Boerkircher (No. 87) round out a deep, revamped tight end group ready to complement the Aggies’ offensive arsenal.
Even the offensive and defensive lines have seen significant numerical additions, with Tyler Thomas (No. 77) and Lamont Rogers (No. 79) reinforcing the trenches, while Landon Rink (No. 99) adds more firepower to the defensive front.
And while jersey numbers don’t win football games, they do offer the first chapter in what’s shaping up to be a defining season in Aggieland. With a deep roster, rising expectations, and a blend of new and familiar names, Texas A&M is laying the groundwork for a 2025 campaign full of promise.
