The Washington Nationals have found their inaugural jersey patch sponsor in a partner that shares their commitment to community: AARP.
In a multi-year agreement announced today, the AARP logo will appear on Nationals jerseys for the regular season, Postseason, and Spring Training, making its on-field debut July 1 when the team faces the Detroit Tigers. Beyond the patch, AARP also becomes an official Community Impact Partner, bringing new fan experiences and outreach initiatives to Nationals Park.

AARP CEO Dr. Myechia Minter-Jordan echoed that sentiment: “Baseball is more than a game — it’s a tradition that connects us across generations. Seeing the AARP logo on the Nationals’ jerseys is a reminder of the memories we create with the people we love.”
The partnership goes far beyond branding. AARP and the Nationals will collaborate on programs that support health, financial stability, and community engagement — including participation in AARP’s Wish of a Lifetime initiative, which grants unique experiences to older adults. Fans can also expect on-site activations, a dedicated AARP Night at the ballpark, and resources on fraud prevention, brain health, and more.
Nationals players will wear two versions of the patch — a red design on home whites and a white-and-red version on the other four uniforms. AARP members will enjoy special game-day perks like early ballpark access, reserved parking, and seat upgrades to the PNC Diamond Club.
With this partnership, the Nationals and AARP are proving that community connection — much like baseball — is timeless.
