My guy cares more about my appearance than I do. Since I’m unwilling to make much effort regarding my appearance, it’s up to him to make that effort, a task he is happily willing to take on. Right now I don’t have a pair of shoes that he thinks look sharp AND keep my feet dry if it’s raining much. I don’t care if my feet get wet – it’s not like we’re hiking all day and will be camping tonight. We’ll be home in a couple hours, after strolling through town and (probably) stopping for a coffee. I never worried about wet feet (unless camping/hiking) before I met him, although he seems to be surprised that I’ve survived this long with that attitude.
