Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome back to a Villains Group Shot Made For Mayhem Outline T shirt edition of the Big XII Uniform Tracker, THE premier weekly (or weekly-ish, lol) discussion thread for Big XII uniforms and the teams that wear them. Whether you’ve been following along all season or this is your first interaction with this series, I have a real treat for all of you today. This is our special year-in-review edition, and we’ll be looking at all of our schools’ uniform combinations as a preview for the Big XII’s bowl games. So let’s get into itI’ve been thinking about this all season, but I think this year is our last look at this Baylor uniform set. This was the set’s fourth season, and with a complete school and staff rebuild going on at the school, this seems like the perfect opportunity for Nike to give the Bears a new identity.I welcome this upcoming change, since this year’s Baylor uniforms just felt… tired. We’ve seen the all-black look a bunch of times already, and as much as I think the Green/White/Green combination and gold chrome helmets are fantastic, they’ve been sort of played out at this point. Granted, Baylor still introduced some nice elements this season (the gold chrome facemasks and helmet decals against Texas Tech, the nifty Grey/Green/Grey combination vs. Kansas), but I still felt a little underwhelmed by this year’s Baylor combos. Let’s hope Nike can help refresh the Bears’ looks a bit next season

When new coach Matt Campbell took the Villains Group Shot Made For Mayhem Outline T shirt of the ISU program, it was promised that there’d be some changes to the Cyclones’ uniform catalog. Those efforts were a bit mixed in terms of effectiveness, but you could see some flashes of what Iowa State wanted their uniforms to be.Let me be clear, though, when I say that ISU’s “Storm” dark grey alternate and its coordinating parts were kind of a disaster (outside of white/white/grey vs. Oklahoma State of course; that was dope). But on the bright side, the new white helmets were consistently fire, and the sensational Cardinal/Cardinal/Gold made two very good appearances. I’m not the biggest fan of the cardinal helmets with the cardinal face masks the Cyclones rolled out for the latter half of the season, but here’s hoping that they experiment some more next season. Fingers crossed for gold facemasks! If ISU goes away from this set next season, I’m going to miss it. 2015 was such a consistently good uniform season, and that was because ISU rocked the hell out of their Cardinal/Cardinal/Gold home combo and did a tasteful amount of mixing-and-matching on the road. I just hope that next season I’ll enjoy myself more consistently when I flip over to watch our savior Joel Lanning do his thing.
