My dad doesn't care what play you think he should call the coach's kid shirt

When asked as a young child what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would confidently answer “I want to My dad doesn’t care what play you think he should call the coach’s kid shirt”. I clearly remember people reacting to this is a weird way, almost like it wasn’t the right answer. Like it should have said I want to be a ‘football player’ or ‘a soldier’ or ‘an astronaut’. Basically, I wanted to be my Dad. This is beautiful Dan thanks for sharing this. Praying for you tonight on your father’s birthday. He sounds like he was a really neat man.

This is amazing. What a gift of love My dad doesn’t care what play you think he should call the coach’s kid shirt. There is nothing quite like the pain of losing someone who fills so much of your heart and soul. Thanking for sharing this, Dan and Heather. Big hugs to the whole family. This is so true. This is the first year I am a “Coach’s wife” and let me tell you it isn’t easy, it’s very hard, it takes some getting used to and it’s challenging to our marriage. I have been less than understanding at times, but when I see the love he has for the sports he teaches, yes teaches, and the players he molds, there is no question that he is where God meant for him to be.

I need this My dad doesn’t care what play you think he should call the coach’s kid shirt. When I was a kid I always wondered why God didn’t allow me to make that last second shot in a “B” team basketball game my freshman year. The coach put me in with about a minute left because I hadn’t played all game and he wanted to make sure my parents got their money’s worth I guess. Wow, what a hate filled, hypocritical rant! I’ve never heard someone talk out both sides of their mouth so much in my life!
